"Everyone probably hates how Youtube has been down spiraling since the site's merging with Google back in 2008. Since then, the "You" of Youtube has vanished (It's now GoogleTube, essentially, in Alex's opinion). If things couldn't get any worse, YouTube makes changes, and that's typical, but what's sickening is that Youtube "forces" these changes despite people disliking them. How sick is that?!

Recently, a friend suggested me "Zippcast", a video website that is like the "old" Youtube. Everything simple and un-cluttered. No ads on videos, no evil pop stars setting up accounts and taking over.

And yes, Zippcast was a little glitchy, mainly because of the server overload from irate youtubers switching over. I feel for that. Imagine if you're a programmer running an inactive website and suddenly, you face a surge of web traffic towards your site, that it overloads.

For me, joining Zippcast is as close to giving Google an a**-whooping as is possible!

I wish Youtube would be more considerate when making these changes. If I ran Youtube, I would have trials for new layouts, BUT, if people don't like them, I won't change ANYTHING! Change ONLY when people WANT change. And people on youtube DON'T! Does Vimeo or Twitter ever change?! They make only SMALL changes when needed! Not totally making a whole new layout!

Bottom line: hate Youtube forcing changes? Choose another site! Zippcast not cutting it? Find something else! Don't bury yourself in something you don't like! Believe in yourself, stop the excuses and take action!

Please forgive if I'm too harsh. When I joined Youtube back in 2006, and uploaded my first videos a few months later, there was this good feeling of getting to share your creative videos to the world. Simple channels without any fancy tactics. Those of you who joined later may think different, and I'm okay with that. I'm happy for those of you who are okay with the new channel, but I also feel bad of those who get weeded out by the big dogs using the site to their advantage...

I hope my new journey on Zippcast is going to be like my Youtube journey 6 years back.. Best wishes to any of you who are starting a new journey too.."
